Anglican Priest David Achi dies in captivity after abduction

Bandits have klled the Anglican Priest, Ven Edwin Achi, the Anglican Vicar of the Kaduna Diocese, after the family was unable to raise ₦100M ransome since October.

Ven. Achi, his wife and daughter were kidnapped in Kaduna State on October 28.

The bandits had earlier in the week posted photos in his Facebook page showing him and his wife in a distressed condition inside a bush.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Anglican Diocese of Kaduna called him a faithful minister and cancelled an upcoming event in his honour. They also prayed for the safe return of his wife and daughter still in captivity.
