APC chairman abducted by bandits in Niger

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zone ‘C’, Aminu Bobi, was on Saturday kidnapped by bandits in Mariga local government area of Niger state.

According to a Daily Trust report, Bobi was abducted Saturday evening while he was on his farm supervising farmhands working for him.

A source close to the victim said the gunmen invaded the farm on six motorcycles, with each motorcycle carrying three people shooting sporadically.

According to the source, the APC Zonal Chairman was the only one who was abducted by the bandits as none of the Labourers were abducted.

The state police command has not confirmed the report as at the time of filing this report.

Niger state, North Central Nigeria has become one of the hotbeds for bandits in the country with hundreds of school children still in captivity following their abduction two months ago.
