APC did not endorse any candidate for Anambra APC Primaries- Uba

Chidi Samuel ||  Senator Andy Uba, one of the leading candidates in the ongoing Anambra party primaries has debunked reports that a certain aspirant has been endorsed as APC candidate for the November governorship election in Anambra state.

Uba’s position was contained in a statement issued by his media office which went on to described the claim as untrue and laughable.

” We have been inundated with statements that certain candidates in the space of a few hours from the commencement of the primaries have been endorsed by the presidency or the National Executive as the candidate of the APC for November 18  elections.

“These statements are laughable as well as untrue owing to the fact that the true situation of things now favours an Uba candidacy.

“However, owing to our principal’s decision to abide by the rules of the game, we have continued to keep faith with the system by allowing them to vote their candidate of choice.

“We urge Ndi Anambra to thus disregard any claims of anyone as an anointed or endorsed a candidate without the votes of the delegates.”

The results of the primaries are being awaited.
