APC postpones NEC meeting after Buhari’s meeting with governors

Yusuf Bello|The national executive council (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for Tuesday will no longer hold.

The postponement of the ruling party’s NEC was made public by Kebbi State governor, Atiku Bagudu, at the end of a meeting governors elected on APC platform held with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja on Monday.

According to Bagudu, the postponement was at the instance of the governors.

The governors who attended Monday’s meeting with the President include, Babagana Zulum (Borno), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Muhammadu Yahaya (Gombe), and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Godwin Obaseki (Edo).

Also in attendance were, Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano) Abubakar Bello (Niger), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo) Simon Lalong (Plateau), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Aminu Masari (Katsina), Hope Uzodinma ( Imo) and Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa).
