The game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes with a superb Aubameyang strike for Arsenal in the 12th minute of play while Minamino equalised for Liverpool with composed low finish late in the second half, the First Liverpool goal for Japan international.
In the ensuring penalty shoot out, Arsenal converted five of their kicks while youngstar Rhian Brewster, was the only player to miss in the shootout as he blasted his kick against the bar.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is now Arsenal’s joint-top scorer in games played at Wembley Stadium (5, level with Alexis Sanchez). Aubameyang’s five goals at the ground have come in the space of just 42 days.
Only Kevin De Bruyne (22) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (15) have provided more assists for Premier League sides in all competitions since the start of last season than Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (13).
