Three victims of the Kaduna-bound train have been released by the bandits.
The release came 24 hours after the terrorists released disturbing video, flogging some of them on Sunday and threatened to abduct President Muhammadu Buhari and Kaduna state governor, Nasir el Rufai.
According to Daily Trust report, the released passengers, a female, and two males, have reunited with family members.
It was not clear if ransom was paid before their release but Kaduna-based publisher Tukur Mamu confirmed their release to the publication.
Mamu, who negotiated the release of some victims earlier, had announced withdrawal from the negotiation, citing threat to his life.
“Yes, three victims have been released a female and two male. But remember I’m not part of the negotiation that led to their freedom.” he simply said.
