Yusuf Bello| Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai is not in the Intensive Care Unit as been speculated on social media.
The outspoken governor who revealed he tested positive to COVIC-19 on March 28, is in isolation and receiving treatment but there was speculation on Monday in the social media that he was in ICU.
But his Chief of Staff, Muh’d Sani Dattijo in a Tweet on Monday revealed that El-Rufai is working from the isolation centre.
Dattijo tweeted a photo of himself and Elrufia live chatting with the caption, “Mallam Nasir el-Rufai at 2:06pm, Monday 20 April. Alive and Well. Working from isolation. To all the folks tweeting about him in ICU, you shall see it before he does inshaAllah.”
The Kaduna state governor is one of three governors who tested positive for coronavirus in Nigeria.
The other two, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo state have recovered and are out of isolation.
Nigeria currently has 627 cases of the highly contagious disease which broke out in Wuhan region China in December 2019.
