President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday redeployed Festus Keyamo, (SAN), the minister of state for Niger Delta affairs, to the ministry of labour and employment, minister of state.
A statement by Willie Bassey, director of information at the office of secretary to the government of the federation, which described the move as a minor reshuffle, named Tayo Alasoadura, as the new minister of state for Niger Delta affairs.
The reason for the minor cabinet reshuffle was not made public but sources familiar with matter hinted at a widening rift between Keyamo and Godswill Akpabio, the minister of Niger Delta affairs.
The cause of the rift between the two cabinet minister has not been made public.
Keyamo will now work as a junior minister, in the ministry of labour and employment with Chris Ngige, the substantive minister.
