Buhari writes N’Assembly, to present 2017 budget Dec 14

President Muhammadu Buhari has written a letter to the National Assembly informing them that he will be ready to present the 2017 budget proposal to Joint session of the Assembly on Wednesday 14th December 2016 at 10 am.

President Buhari’s letter conveying his intentions was read on the floor of the senate this morning by the Senate president, Bukola Saraki.  Similar letter was equally sent to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

It will be recalled that Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper for the 2017 budget  are currently in consideration by the appropriation committees of both chambers of the National Assembly.
