Chelsea FC are the 2016/17 champions of the English Premier League. The South London Club clinched the trophy after a hard-fought match at the Hawthorns stadium Friday evening.
Michy Batshuayi’s late goal gave them the victory they required to secure the title at West Brom.
Many Chelsea fans were already thinking of delaying their title celebrations following the stiff resistance and opposition put up by West Brom team before Batshuayi, the Belgium international brought in from Marseille last year stepped out to snatch victory for the Londoners with about eight minutes to full time.
The final whistle sparked wild celebrations among Chelsea’s fans and players as manager Conte was tossed high into the air by his squad.
The Italian can now set his sights on winning the league and domestic Double as the Blues prepare for an FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley later in May.
