Coronavirus not a death sentence- Akin Abayomi

By our reporter| Lagos state commissioner of health, Akin Abayomi, on Wednesday said that COVID-19 is not a death sentence.

Abayomi stated this via a series of tweets following the discharged of five coronavirus patients by the state government earlier in the week.

The commissioner in the words of the discharged patients, described the disease as “a waiting game” and reminded Lagosians that the fight against COVID-19 is not yet over and that there is still need for residents to play their part to contain the disease by
adhering strictly to directives and practise social distancing.

Abayomi tweeted, “Discharge of 5 #COVID19 patients following their full recovery shows that #COVID19 infection is not death sentence but “just a waiting game” according to one of the discharged patient.”
