Court orders forfeiture of Senator Nwaoboshi’s 14 properties, 22 bank accounts

The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has approved an interim forfeiture of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi’s properties to the Nigerian government.

The court made an initial order for the confiscation of 14 properties and 22 bank accounts linked to Nwaoboshi on Tuesday, according to a report in PT.

The forfeited bank accounts were traced to Zenith Bank, UBA, Access Bank and Sterling Bank.

The court gave Nwaoboshi 30 days to justify how he acquired the properties and convince the court not to grant a permanent forfeiture of the assets to the Nigerian government.

Nwaoboshi, who is also for his political life, is locked in a tough battle for his Senatorial seat with Ned Nwoko, an Abuja based Business man.
