By our reporter| The United States Government on Tuesday handed over 200 ventilators to the Nigerian government.
The U.S Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Bert Leonard handed over the ventilators to the Nigerian government at the Abuja Premier Medical Warehouse in the nation’s capital.
President Donald Trump administration had in April promised to support the country with ventilators as the Federal Government battles the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the world after a telephone conversation the US President had with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this during a briefing said the call which was at the request of the American President centred on Nigeria’s response to COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Mohammed, the conversation of both leaders centred on the efforts of the Nigerian government to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
