By our reporter| The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) appears to be in pole position to win Saturday’s governorship election in Ekiti state as it has been declared winner in seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) by INEC.
The results so far declared by INEC at the LGA collation centres, Abiodun Oyebanji of the APC won in Ekiti South West, Ikere, Ekiti West, Emure, Ise/Orun LGAs Oye, and Irepodun/Ifelodun.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Bisi Kolawole won in Efon Alaye LGA, while Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is yet to win a single LGA.
The electoral umpire will announce the final at the state collation center in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
