Ex-chief of defence staff, Badeh shot dead

Nigeria’s former chief of defence staff, Alex Badeh, has been shot to death by unknown gunmen.

Badeh died from gun shot wounds he sustained when his vehicle was attacked by gunmen while he was returning from his farm in Nasarawa on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened along Abuja-Keffi road.

Ibikunle Daramola, spokesman of the Nigerian air force, announced the death of the former defence boss via his Twitter handle.

Daramola tweeted, ”It is with a heavy heart that I regretfully announce the unfortunate demise of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, who died today, 18 Dec 18, from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road”.
