Failed PDP aspirant recovers N100m from Kaduna delegates using vigilantes, hunters

An aspirant who failed to secure the ticket of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the House of Representatives election has reportedly recovered over N100 million from delegates, with the use of vigilantes and hunters.

Former APC senator, Shehu Sani, who made the disclosure via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday night, did not, however, disclose the name of the aspirant.

“A man who has lost the House of reps ticket in Kaduna has recovered over M100 Million from Delegates this evening using vigilantes and hunters,” Sani tweeted on Tuesday night.

Sani’s tweet could not be independently verified as at the time of filing this report.

The former lawmaker had earlier tweeted that some aspirants who lost the recent primaries in Kaduna had been moving from house to house, arresting delegates who collected their money and didn’t vote for them.

According to various reports, Adam Namadi, son of former Vice-President Namadi Sambo, after securing just two votes allegedly asked delegates to refund the N2 million each he doled out before the PDP primaries in Kaduna North Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives.

Namadi, who allegedly promised to add N1.5 million to the amount given to each of the delegates, secured the least votes among the three contenders.
