Prof Richard Iyiola Akindele, the former lecturer with Obafemi Awolowo University, accused by her student, Monica Osagie, of demanding sex to pass her was on Monday remanded in prison custody.
The disgraced former OAU lecturer was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practises and other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) before Justice Maureen Onyetenu of a Federal High Court, Osogbo, on four counts bothering on alteration of age and demanding sex to pass her student.
Akindele’s ordeal began when a video where he demanded five rounds of sex from a student, Monica Osagie to pass her went viral earlier in the year.
The former lecturer had earlier agreed with ICPC to plead guilty to the charges so as to get a lesser penalty for the charges.
