Four dead in Jerusaalem terror attack

Three female Israeli soldiers and a male, probably a soldier have died In Jerusalem after a suspected terrorist rammed a lorry into a group of soldiers. About thirteen people are wounded in what the Israeli authorities are calling a terror attack. The attack occurred at about 1.30 pm.

“It is a terrorist attack, a ramming attack,” a police spokeswoman said on Israel radio.

A bus driver who witnessed the incident told the station that the driver ploughed into the group before reversing over victims.

Police said the attacker has been neutralised but it was not immediately clear if the suspect was dead.

Images shared on social media showed a lorry with bullet holes riddled across the windscreen.

The attack took place on a popular promenade overlooking the walled Old City of Jerusalem.

The Israeli police say the roads around the area has been closed.
