Ebun Francis ||Unknown gunmen on Tuesday night invaded the home of Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The house, located on a farm owned by Mr. Magu in Karshi, a suburb of Abuja, was stormed by unidentified attackers at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
A source close to the family said the attackers subdued a police officer and another civilian working on the property and tied them up before beating the duo to a pulp.
The source said, “The policeman died from the beating.”
Earlier this year the property was attacked by unknown persons, a situation that lead to the deployment of security personnel to protect the property.
The motive behind Tuesday’s attack is not known but the attackers were said to have carted away cattle and sheeps from the farm.
