Our reporter/ Gunmen have reportedly abducted Aondo Ver, a director with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), in the federal capital territory (FCT) Abuja.
According to various reports, Ver was abducted from his home, which lies some 200 metres away from a military base in Pambara Extension, in the Bwari area council.
The bandits were said to have struck around 12.30 am on Thursday, while shooting sporadically and spreading panic in the area.
They escaped into the surrounding bushes with the abductee.
Residents confirmed that the incident occurred near a military base popularly known as ‘camp’.
Meanwhile, two sisters in Chikakore community in the Kubwa area of the federal capital territory (FCT) were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen earlier in the week.
According to eyewitness accounts, the gunmen forced their way into the home of the girls on Sunday around 11 pm.
The kidnappers initially seized three people — two girls aged 16 and 14, and their brother.
The gunmen were said to have released the boy to return home to arrange for the ransom.
Their father had ventured outside to seek for help after learning that gunmen were trying to force their way into his home.
When he returned, the gunmen had taken two of his children.
The FCT police command is yet to comment on the incidents.
In recent weeks, there have been series of attacks and abductions in communities in the FCT.
On January 2, bandits abducted Mansur Al-Kadriyar alongside his six daughters, after they attacked their residence in Zuma 1, Bwari area council of Abuja.
One of the girls, Nabeeha was killed by the bandits but the rest were released after the family paid ransom to the abductors.
