Gunmen kidnap Ondo federal high court Judge, Abdul Dogo, demands N50m ransom

Ebun Francis| A judge of the federal high court, Akure, Ondo state, Abdul Dogo was on Tuesday kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

Dogo was kidnapped alongside his driver at Ibilo/Isua Akoko axis, a border town between Ondo and Edo states, while returning to Akure from Abuja.

The kidnappers who later contacted officials of the court are demanding N50 million ransom for the release of the judge.

Ondo state police command spokesman who confirmed the abduction of the judge, told newsmen that the command is working to secure the judge’s release.

Ondo state governor Rotimi Akeredolu has also ordered security agencies in the state to work with their counterparts in neighbouring states for the prompt rescue of Justice Abdul Dogo.
