How Tinubu’s family bought London mansion marked for seizure by FG for $11m

A firm belonging to the son of Bola Tinubu bought an $11 million London mansion that Buhari’s government was seeking to confiscate as part of a corruption probe, documents show.

The Buhari government was seeking to confiscate the mansion as part of a probe into one of the biggest corruption scandals in the country ’s history, according to previously unreported UK company documents.

According to Bloomberg Africa report, there’s no evidence yet that Bola Tinubu was personally involved in the acquisition of the UK property in 2017.

The controversial mansion located in north London 

The report further stated that President Muhammadu Buhari visited Tinubu there in August 2021, nearly four years after the purchase took place.

Tinubu, who may like become Nigeria’s president later this month, has long been questioned about the source of his family’s wealth, including throughout the recent election campaign, when he and his representatives were pressed about it by local and international media.

They, however, always find a way to evade the question.
