Killaboi’s Murder Trial: Augusta’s uncle gives evidence on discovery of her body in suspect home with organs removed

Augusta’s uncle has given the court a detailed account of how her body was found at Killaboi’s Ajah residence with her internal organs removed.

He spoke at the ongoing trial of the suspect at the Lagos State High Court in Igbosere, Lagos.

“For 3-days we couldn’t reach her, I got worried. Her roommate Oyindamola at Lead City gave us Benjamin’s address, directed us to check there. Only that they won’t let us in without invite or a code. So I got a soldier at the Ikeja cantonment, with myself, Oyindamola, My Sister (AG’s mom), and a neighbor Mrs. Bankole, he said.

When we go to Oral Estate, the security refused to let us in as predicted. But after some persuasion from the Soldier, they agreed and one escorted us. We found his apartment 24a Abiola Akpoyin Street, Oral Estate, Ikota, Ajah, Lagos.

The gate was slightly open like someone had left hastily. We entered and saw Augusta’s car, with the keys on the bonnet. So the women started calling out her name, she didn’t respond. The building is a semi-detached duplex, a window was opened upstairs.

But the estate security blocked us from entering, advised for a search warrant. I ran down to a station and came back with two officers. Then, we used a ladder. They insisted I went up first. I did. Using my torch for light.

Being the first to enter, I saw a pool of blood, spreading across the apartment, looked further and saw a swollen body, which I could recognize was my niece. I signaled the officer, made sure not to scream to avoid panic. The officer advised it be immediately evacuated, they did so around 2am.

We left the place and told my sister that we didn’t find anything, we’d proceed the next day. I took her back to my place at Egbeda, cos’ she lived alone at Maryland. July 16th, I called two of her friends and broke the news to them..

The case was subsequently transferred to Panti. We gave our statement, I led the police back to the house, for photo evidence.

Augusta

Luckily, Oyindamola actively followed Benjamin on social media, she saw him confessing about how he killed his girlfriend after a quarrel, and is contemplating suicide, we showed the police, they saved it and it went viral.”

Apparently, Benjamin stabbed her, sliced her open, removed her internal organs. Then fled the country.

The case is ongoing today March 5, at Lagos State High Court in Igbosere.
