Lagos discharges another 12 COVID-19 patients

Ebun Francis| The Lagos state government on Thursday said it has discharged twelve COVID-19 patients, including a Ukrainian, following their recovery from the disease.

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made the disclosure in statement on Thursday evening.

According to him, six of the patients were discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, five recovered at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and one from an isolation facility at Ibeju-Lekki.

The development brings to 199, the total number of patients who have been discharged in Lagos, since the outbreak of the disease in the country in February.

Nigeria currently has 1,728 confirmed COVID-19 cases with Lagos accounting 947 of the infections.
