At last, President Buhari returns to Nigeria

Ebun Francis || President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the Country on Saturday after spending 103 days in the United Kingdom on medical vacation.

The Presidential plane carrying the President touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Saturday evening at exactly 4.36 pm with many government officials and other important dignitaries waiting to receive the President.

The President was received on arrival by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Abba Kyari, chief of staff, service chiefs and some of his aides.

Buhari took salute from the presidential guards’ Brigade while cultural groups sang and danced to welcome him back home.

Also, at the airport to welcome the President were, governors who were on the ground to receive him were Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Abdulaziz Yari  (Zamfara), Muhammed Abubakar (Bauchi), Abubakar Bello (Niger), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi) and Barnabas Bala, deputy governor of Kaduna.

Babagana Monguno, national security adviser, and Lawal Daura, director-general, Department of State Security (DSS) were also there.
