Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Friday confirmed 126 new cases of the novel coronavirus bringing the country’s virus case load to 59,127.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control which made the disclosure in a statement via its verified Twitter handle also revealed that 50,593 persons have recovered from the disease and 1,112 deaths recorded.
According to the NCDC, the new cases reported were from 12 states, including Lagos 62, followed by Rivers -22, and Ogun -9).
Other states with new infections include, Plateau -7, FCT -7, Osun -5, Kwara -5, Taraba -3, Bayelsa -2, Abia -2, Zamfara -1, and Imo -1.
The health agency further noted that the country has not recorded a COVID-19 related death in the month of October.
