Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed 1386 new cases of #COVID19.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a statement late on Wednesday night via its verified Twitter handle, said the new infections were recorded in 24 states and the FCT.
According to the update, Lagos recorded 476 new cases, followed by Rivers-163, FCT-116, Kaduna-114, Oyo-68, Plateau-62, Ogun-56, Imo-55, Osun-55, and Edo-51.
Other states that reported new cases include, Anambra-50, Kwara-44, Kano-17, Ebonyi-14, Cross River-10, Delta-10, Jigawa-8, Bayelsa-6, Ekiti-6, Borno-2, Taraba-2, and Zamfara-1.
The health agency further noted that so far, Nigeria has 114,691 confirmed cases of the highly contagious virus, with 92,336 recoveries and 1,478 deaths.
