Ebun Francis| Nigeria on Tuesday confirmed 16 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country to 254.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed the updated figure on its verified Twitter handle.
According to the health agency, ten of the new cases were discovered in Lago, two in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Oyo.
Delta and Katsina States recorded their first cases of coronavirus.

The NCDC stressed that the country recorded a new death – total at six – while 44 people have recovered from the disease and have since been discharged.
