Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed 179 new cases of #COVID19 bringing the country’s toll to 60,834.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control which made the disclosure via its verified Twitter handle, said the new cases were recorded in 13 states and the FCT.
According to the health agency, Lagos, the epicentre of the pandemic, recorded 116 new cases, followed by Anambra -20, and the FCT-9.
Other states with new infections include, Oyo-9, Rivers-9, Delta-3, Nasarawa-3, Edo-2
Kaduna-2, Ogun-2, Plateau-2, Ekiti-1, and
Osun-1.
The NCDC further noted that so far, 52,143 persons have recovered from the disease with 1,116 deaths recorded.
