Nigeria confirms 238 new COVID-19 cases with 3 deaths

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a statement late on Monday night via its verified Twitter handle also noted that the country currently has 160,895 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus with 145,752 recoveries, and 2,016 deaths.

According to the update, Monday’s infections were recorded in 17 states with Lagos, the epicentre of the outbreak in the country recording 72 new infections, followed by Kwara-28, Bauchi-19, Kaduna-19, Edo-17, and Ogun-15.

Other states with new infections include, Nasarawa-13, Rivers-10, FCT-9, Ondo-8, Akwa Ibom-5, Gombe-5, Niger-5, Osun-5, Plateau-4, Oyo-3, and kano-1.
