Chidi Samuel| 453 new cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control said.
The development brings to 47,743, the country’s COVID-19 load.
In a Tweet on its verified Twitter handle, the Nigeria health agency said the new cases were recorded in Lagos, the FCT and 14 other states of the federation, with Lagos recording 113 cases, followed by the FCT with 72 new infections, Plateau – 59, Enugu –55, Kaduna –38, and Ondo -32.
Other states with new infections include, Osun –26, Ebonyi –20, Ogun –9, Delta – 8, Borno –7, Akwa-Ibom –6, Oyo –5 with Bauchi, Kano and Ekiti each recorded 1 case each.
The NCDC further noted that 33,943 people have recovered from the virus with 956 fatalities.
