Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Sunday confirmed 521 new cases of #COVID19 bringing the country’s toll to 152, 074.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in a statement late on Sunday night said the new infections were recorded in 20 states and the FCT.
According to the update, Lagos the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria, recorded 166 new cases, followed by Ogun-52, Rivers-47, Adamawa-37, Ebonyi-37, Akwa Ibom-25, Osun-21, Bayelsa-18, Kaduna-17, and Oyo-16.
Other states with new infections include, FCT-15, Ekiti-14, Kano-12, Edo-12, Borno-9, Yobe-8, Ondo-6, Nasarawa-4, Bauchi-2, and Kwara-3.
The NCDC further noted that so far, 128,619 persons have recovered from the disease with 1,839 deaths recorded across the country.
