Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Sunday confirmed 685 new cases of #COVID19 bringing the country’s caseload to 131,242.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a statement late on Sunday night said the new infections were recorded in 16 states with 8 deaths recorded.
According to the update, Lagos recorded 355 new cases, followed by Kaduna-58, Nasarawa-46, Kano-40, Akwa Ibom-33, Katsina-26, and Ogun-25.
Other states with new infections include, Osun-21, Rivers-16, Edo-15, Oyo-13, Ondo-12, Borno-11, Ekiti-9, Kebbi-3, and Plateau-2.
The health agency further noted that so far, 104,989 persons have recovered from the disease, with 1,586 deaths recorded.
