NPA commences round-the-clock emergency health clinic for port users.

In order to ensure effective implementation of the Executive Order concerning the ease of doing Business at Ports, the Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has commissioned a 24 hour emergency clinic to cater for health concerns.

The Managing Director of the Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman who declared open the clinic located at Apapa Port Complex (LPC) for operations, assured stakeholder that the NPA management would not relent in its firm resolve at bringing dividends of good governance and administration to the Ports Community at large.

She said that the establishment of the clinic is in consonance with the organization’s CSR policy as well as a commitment to excellence on the side of the organization’s workforce

She assured stakeholders that optimal attention is paid by the NPA to their health challenge amidst paying attention to occupational health which is expected to play out positively in the area greater operation, efficiency and revenue generation for the nation. She said “A healthy Nation is a wealthy Nation”.

The NPA helmsperson added that the agency would strive to achieve the utilization of appreciable level of modern applications and equipment at the clinic in other to keep up with current global trends in health matters.

Usman, while appealing to the port users to avail themselves of the facility, declared that it is for the reason of prompt response to casualties, the clinic was conceptualized adding that matters concerning safety and sound mind of Port users were paramount in the operational thrust of the NPA.

She lauded the qualities of the NPA management team and its drive towards achieving landmarks and impacting most positively on stakeholders.

Hadiza emphasized and challenged staff to contribute most meaningfully and relevantly towards making the NPA a Model Agency.
