Ebun Francis| The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Ifedayo Abegunde, on Monday resigned his appointment with the state government.
Abegunde who informed the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, about his decision in a letter dated July 6, 2020 thanked him for the opportunity given to him to serve the people of the state.
The Akure indigene appointed as SSG in 2017, wished governor Akeredolu who is currently in isolation after testing positive to coronavirus (COVID-19) a quick recovery.
The former member of the house of representative did not give any reason for his resignation but said his next line of action would be made public soon.
The former SSG is the second high profile politician to part ways with governor Akeredolu following the earlier departure of the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, resigned his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has since
joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of the October 10 governorship election in the state.
