Otti says power belongs to God in reaction to Kalu’s comment on Abia 2027 guber race

Our reporter/ Governor Alex Otti has explained why he did not respond to a comment by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ben Kalu, that he will be voted out as governor of Abia State by the All Progessives Congress (APC) in 2027.

Otti, who spoke to reporters at Government House Umuahia at the weekend, said he chose not to respond to Ben Kalu’s comment because he believes that power belongs to God and he gives it to whom he wants.

A viral video had recently shown Kalu boasting that it would be an aberration for him as the number six citizen of Nigeria to allow another party, and not his APC, govern Abia State in 2027.

But Otti in his reaction to Kalu’s remarks explained that he does not subscribe to playing God and as such cannot explain what will happen in 2027.

”I am actually not competent to sit here to tell what will happen in 2027. I do not subscribe to playing God, he said.

He emphasized that authority is God’s, not man’s and that it would be foolish of him to foretell the future.
