Olisa Metuh, the embattled former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was on Monday brought to the federal high court, Abuja, in an ambulance.

Metuh is standing trial over allegations of receiving N400 million from Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser, and also money laundering charges involving $2 billion.

The trial Judge, Okon Abang, had at the last sitting ordered Metuh to appear or risk being arrested after his lawyer Onyekachi Ikpeazu had informed the court that his client was hospitalised.

But on Monday, Justice Abang agreed that Metuh was not in a position to stand trial.

“On account of the condition I have seen him in the courtroom,” he said.
