President Muhammadu Buhari’s health situation is said to be worsening by the day, according to a recent article published in Sahara Reporters.
The report notes that Buhari is almost incapacitated as he has been unable to eat or drink and is being fed intravenously for several days due to his inability to ingest food.
Though reports disclosed that the president seemed to have improved on his return from the United Kingdom some weeks ago, it has, however, showed signs of reversal and may be deteriorating, according to sources close to Aso Rock Villa. The sources also disclosed that the president’s inability to eat properly is responsible for his absence from public events.
The president has absented himself from the weekly Federal Executive Council meetings for three consecutive weeks and also failed to show up at last Friday’s Juma’at service as he needed to be confined for treatment at a medical room inside the villa.
Though there are reports that Buhari’s British doctors have sent a medical team to the presidential villa in Abuja, they have also advised that the president should return to the United Kingdom immediately to avert a potential danger on his health. But that may be impossible as there is also concern that some powerful forces within the president’s cabinet are preventing him from returning to the United Kingdom.
So far, there has been no public disclosure of the diagnosis on the president’s ailing health as this has been shrouded in secrecy by his handlers. Some sources have said that the president suffers from Crohn’s disease, which has threatened his digestive system. This is in addition to the prostrate issues which he has suffered for quite some time.
