The Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges will be investigating a statement made by Prof. Itse Sagay, Chariaman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption.
Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’allah, referred to a newspaper report that quoted Prof. Sagay describing lawmakers in the Senate as people of questionable character.
Senator Ibn Na’allah urged the Senate to summon Prof. Sagay to identify those whom he felt had questionable characters in the Senate.
The Senate consequently directed the Committee on Ethics and Privileges to conduct an investigation into Sagay’s comments.
