Sanusi departs Nasarawa, after court victory

Chidi Samuel| The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi, on Friday left Awe in Nasarawa State with the Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai.

The monarch who was dethroned as the Emir of Kano earlier in the week by the Kano State government and banished to Nasarawa State but was, however, released from detention by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja. granted an interim order releasing Sanusi from detention.

Justice Anwuli Chikere granted the interim order releasing Sanusi in line with the prayers on the exparte motion filed on his behalf by Mr. Lateef Fagbemi SAN.

Sanusi had on Thursday, through his lawyers approached the court seeking an interim order of the court directing his immediate release from detention.
