Senate changes gear, empowers INEC to determine mode of transmission of election results

By our reporter/ The senate on Tuesday empowered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to determine the best mode to transmission of election results.

They also approved that all political parties must use the direct primary mode in picking candidates.

The two provisions were among the four clauses approved in the electoral act amendment bill.
