Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Gbajabiamila calls suspension of #EndSars protests after meeting Buhari

By our reporter| Senate President Ahmed Lawan on Sunday called on Nigerian youths to bring to an end the #End Sars nationwide protests which has rocked the country for more than one week.

Senator Lawan who said that the protests have yielded the desired results and that government needs time to address a few of the demands made by the protesters, made the call
after a closed-door meeting between himself, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and President Muhammadu Buhari.

Lawan urged the protesters to give the government time to work on their other demands adding that the demonstrations that now involve blocking of roads will have an enormous economic impact on the country.

In the same vein, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila while congratulating the youths for a job well done, equally called for an end to the protests, arguing that policy matters cannot be met overnight.

He asked the protesters to continue with the protests if their demands are not met after fourteen days.
