Supreme court stands down judgement on Imo Guber case

Yusuf Bello| The Supreme Court on Tuesday stood down for judgement in the application for review of the decision which affirmed Hope Uzodinma as the duly elected governor of Imo State.

A seven-member panel of justices of the apex court lead by Justice Tanko Muhammad stood down the matter till 3:00 pm for judgement after listening to arguments from lawyers to both parties.

Counsel to PDP and Ihedioha, Kanu Agabi (SAN) had earlier urged the court to set aside its judgement of January 14 and uphold the judgement of the Court of Appeal which dismissed the petition by Uzodinma.

However, counsel to APC and Uzodinma, Damian Dodo (SAN) while responding said the apex court judgement actually set aside every decision of the Court of Appeal.
