Ebun Francis || Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Samin Amadin, the EFCC Acting Head of Media and Publicity, confirmed Journalists that the former SGF was taken into custody on Wednesday.
Lawal is expected to spend the night with his interrogators at the anti-graft agency.
His arrest by the EFCC comes about three months after he was sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari for alleged corrupt practices in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).
The EFCC said that it started the probe of allegation against the former AGF three days after he was sacked.
