Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Saturday confirmed 576 new cases of #COVID19 bringing the country’s caseload to 89, 163.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a Tweet via its verified Twitter handle said the new infections were recorded in 15 states and the FCT.
According to the update, Lagos, the epicentre of the outbreak in the country recorded 277 new cases, followed by FCT-90, Oyo-51, and Nasarawa-49.
Other states with new infections include, Sokoto-23, Anambra-14, Bauchi-11, Imo-11, Kano-11, Edo-10, Plateau-10, Ogun-9, Osun-5, Jigawa-3, and Rivers-2.
The health agency further noted that so far, 74,789 persons have recovered from the disease with 1,302 deaths recorded.
