Chidi Tony| The Interim Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Barrister Efiong Akwa, has said that no community in the region would be forgotten in road infrastructure.
Akwa stated this during the inauguration of the executive members of a political support group, Akwa Ibom Democratic Forum, (ADF) yesterday at the premises of Esteemed Schools Abak Akwa Ibom state.
The Sole Administration who expressed gratitude to the Minister of Nigerdelta and the Grand leader Senator Godswill Akpabio, whom he referred to as “the Uncommon” for his commitment to altruistic public service and love for the people, noted that those are the real attributes of a true leader.
Akwa lauded the group, stating that from the conduct of the participants at the meeting, the group has the zeal to accomplish any honest task.
He hailed them for queuing behind Akpabio as their leader, stating that selfless and committed leader like Akpabio deserves support and encouragement.
Akwa rounded off his speech with a promise to ensure that Ikwek/Ikot Obong/Ukana Mkpa Eyop road corridor, where a cultural legend Uko Akpan hailed from would be constructed and named after Uko Akpan as a memento to his socio-cultural engineering.
