Apostle Suleman speaks on allegation he uses mobile policemen for rituals

Our reporter| The founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman on Saturday denied using mobile police officers attached to him for rituals.

Suleman’s denial followed an allegation by a police officer identified as Seyi Peter in a viral video alleging that he supplies the cleric with his colleagues for rituals.

The officer also claimed that the girl killed during Friday’s attack was used for ritual by Suleman.

However, responding to the allegations in a series of Tweets on Saturday, the embattled cleric denied ever meeting the said officer.

“This is an acclaimed police officer called Seyi Peter Alfred..he made posts on Facebook that has gone viral..that he used to give me mobile policemen and I used them for rituals.

“I have never met him in life or dream..he said the girl that died goes to places for me.

“If all you are saying is true, may God bless you but if not may you be disgraced..I don’t reply people but this is a Supposed officer of the law lying like satan,” he wrote.

Suleman was attacked yet-to-be identified on Warake road in Auchi, Edo State on Friday evening.

Suleman earlier on Saturday accused the police of cover-up in the investigation into the attack on his convoy.

In a video posted on Twitter shortly after the attack, the police had described the attackers as “kidnappers” while showing the suspect who was killed.

“One of the kidnappers that was caught today [Friday] while the DPO, CSP Ayodele Sulaiman, led the operation along Iyewe-Auchi Road, and after a gun battle, this one [suspect] was gunned down while others escaped with bullet wounds. Bush combing is ongoing,” the police said.

However, reacting to the tweet, Suleman debunked the claims, describing it as an attempt by the police to cover up traces that could lead to those behind the attack.

“Lies…there weren’t kidnappers… He was caught and handed over and the police killed him immediately. Why? Why killing him on the spot? Who is trying to cover up traces?” he tweeted.

The reaction from Suleman has forced the Edo state police command to order the withdrawal of Auchi DPO, Ayodele Suleiman.
