Nigeria’s Federal Government says it will introduce fuel taxes when the economy stabilises and Nigerians’ incomes improve.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Federal government, Taiwo Oyedele said the government would complete ongoing economic reforms before proceeding with the plan.
He added that any new fuel tax must follow due legal process, including publication in the Official Gazette. No implementation date has been announced.
