Body of man who jumped into lagoon recovered

Ebun Francis || The body of Adekunle Oluseyi, the man who jumped into the lagoon on Friday has been recovered.

The body of the father of three children from Ondo state, South-West Nigeria Lagos was recovered on Sunday morning by Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency  (LASEMA).

Adesina Tiamiyu, the general manager of LASEMAtold newsmen in Lagos that a fisherman saw Adekunle’s floating body on Sunday morning by a river bank in Lekki.

According to Tiamiyu, “The body has been taken to Lagos Mainland Hospital Mortuary for deposition.

“Police will carry out further investigations on the matter.”

The deceased was said to have left his base in Ondo State last Wednesday to attend a programme at the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) redemption camp along the Lagos – Ibadan Express.

The CCTV camera on the bridge caught him removing his clothes before jumping into the lagoon, what remains a mystery, however, is how ended on the Ikoyo- Lekki bridge instead of his intended destination.
