Breaking: President Trump agrees to meet with North Korean leader, Kim

The South Korean national security adviser announced Thursday that President Trump said he will meet Kim Jong Un, by May, following Kim’s invitation to meet with the US president.

Kim Jong Un “expressed his eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible,” Chung Eui Yong said, stating that President Trump “appreciated the briefing.”

The South Korean government representative then added: “And said he would meet Kim Jong-un by May to achieve permanent denuclearization.”

The South Korean national security adviser also said that North Korea offered to suspend their nuclear missile testing alongside their invitation for talks.

He equally said there are no plans to change the upcoming planned military exercises with South Korea and that the north Koreans understand that.
